SEO has become a big industry in the last 10 years and rightfully so. Truthfully, who wouldn’t want to show up on the top page of a Google search for a keyword that is directly related to your brand, products, and services?
It doesn’t get any better than that, your prospects directly asking for your services by searching for it themselves. No pushing on your end.
High rankings result with warm traffic, and it can result in a hot lead that is far more interested in your services than any other cold lead.
Notice that I said it “can” and not it “will”?
Which brings me to the topic of this post.
Why SEO Is Only A Small Piece Of The Million Dollar Puzzle.
Here’s the brutal truth.
The backlinks you’ve been building, the content writing and on-page optimization you spent hours on will NOT make you money. Money as in, a healthy 6 or 7 figure yearly income.
I’m not talking about the $500 you’ve generated via AdSense because your website’s visitors thought it was far more interesting to click on the ads on your site rather than staying on your site.
No, I’m talking about money that not only makes you a living but also makes you a fortune.
In my opinion, over 90% of SEOs fall under the category of “Graveyard SEOs.” They are doing “good SEO,” but never making any serious coin that will turn them into real successful entrepreneurs or marketers.
And it’s sad!
It breaks my heart to see all the potential money earnings being vaporized into oblivion.
I want to WAKE YOU UP, for good.
Do you want to be successful in the online money making market?
Forget everything you’ve learned in SEO.
– Guest Posts
– On-Page Optimization
– “Quality” Content (The myth continues)
– Keyword Density
– Mobile Responsive
– Schema markup
The one and only crucial difference between graveyard SEOs and successful marketers are their ability to sell in print to their specified audience.
What do you mean?
I’m talking about the words on your site.
The copy that compels your site’s visitors to read your content and to persuade them into doing or buying anything you want them to!
I’m talking about the golden term, Copywriting.
Sure, you’ve heard about it, you know it’s important, but why aren’t you implementing it?
To succeed online, you MUST master the basics.
You’ve underestimated its importance.
You must be able to sell through the words on your website, ads, emails, blog articles and press releases.
Let’s paint a picture.
Why do people listen to music?
Is it because of the beat? Production? The hot naked girl twerking in the music video?
It’s None Of That
People listen to music because they can relate themselves to the song in that moment in time.
It’s the content and context of the song that resonates with the listener’s emotions.
And that’s how it works with selling online.
Your copy must resonate with your prospect’s emotions with what they need and even their dreams.
But how in the hell do you do that Pat?
Well, you research.
You research your market and look at what your audience wants, what they need, how they speak, think, live and more.
Moral of the story is: SEO is a small piece of the puzzle.
It’s the gas to your vehicle. The only difference is: Are you driving in a Prius or a Lamborghini?
Is your content slow and tedious or rather exciting, compelling and driven to make you TAKE action?
I’m challenging you to start studying the best copywriters in our industry.
I’m talking about guys like Gary Halbert, John Carlton, Dan Kennedy, Chris Haddad, David Ogilvy and the list goes on.
Start with Gary Halbert by reading his book: How To Make Maximum Profit In Minimum Time.
This is where your journey should start.
Learning how to sell your products and services. And then work on your traffic generation tools like SEO, PPC, Solo Ads, JV Traffic and on.
Keep in mind; I am by no means a master copywriter, but I’m a student-of-the-game.
I’m studying these guys every day. I’m practicing my writing every day.
Brushing up my offers and increasing the value at the same time.
This is what you MUST do as well.
And you know what?
We can help each other grow and elevate to the next level.
